RSA Owners are being asked to provide the board of directors with their preference of these two options for the design of the architectural metal that will cover the utility balconies on the east side of the building.
Each design is shown here side by side. Option #1 on the left and Option #2 on the right. There is no difference in the cost of the two designs. The architectural metal wall will be made up with 7 panels side to side and 14 panels bottom to top. The panel will be mounted ~6" out from the balcony slab to allow for more airflow. There will be a another screen layer mounted flush to the balconies to prevent birds from getting in. A metal handrail will be installed on each balcony for added fall protection.
The colors shown in the images are not representative of the color of the finished product. The architectural metal will be painted a light gray color. The balcony beams will be a darker gray color to contrast and highlight the architectural metal wall.

The vent wall in this option is a design that offers curves, triangular shapes and has a vertical feel to help the building have a taller appearance. The project committee is recommending this option. The committee believes that this option better aligns with current architectural trends, and this change would enhance visual appeal within the community

These are concept images which will be refined in the final design process. There will be 7 individual panels mounted side to side and 14 panels bottom to top. The finished product would be light gray in color.

This option uses the same design as the original concrete block. The design had to be enlarged to allow for more airflow compared to the original design.
